Year 7 Bonding

Our new Year 7 pupils have continued to adapt to Senior School life with great enthusiasm in what has been a very different transition year.

With our usual residential bonding trip postponed due to Covid, the Year 7 team have come up with plenty of new ways to ensure the girls get to find their feet, to spread their wings and to make new friends.

On Sunday, our parent-led Friends of South Hampstead (FOSH) organised a fun afternoon of virtual baking, with some delicious lemon yogurt cakes (and perhaps a bit of mess) produced in kitchens across London. Those back in school on Monday and Tuesday enjoyed a half day out of lessons to enjoy team-building activities with the Problem Solving Company.

Head of Year, Ms Humphreys, commented: “It was lovely to see such joy and happiness on their faces – there was an electric atmosphere in every room, and some impressive teamwork and problem-solving. Those who are self-isolating have adapted really well to Guided Home Learning this week and we look forward to offering lots more fun, bonding opportunities when they return.”
