Ski Trip
Over 30 pupils in Year 8 and 9 took to the slopes over half term in a picturesque Piedmont resort.
The half term ski trip to Italy’s Sauze d’Oulx, set against the stunning backdrop of the Via Lattea region, provided our pupils with so many lasting memories. Everyone made great progress throughout the week: our first-time skiers moved with impressive speed from the nursery slopes to blue runs, whilst our advanced groups conquered challenging black runs, navigated through tree lines, and even mastered challenging jumps in the snow park. A particular highlight was exploring the wider area of Sansicario, where the girls had the unique opportunity to ski the iconic women’s downhill run from the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.
Off the slopes, the Italian après culture was embraced with equal enthusiasm. The girls fuelled on authentic local pizza and pasta, showcased their vocal talents during a karaoke night, and competed with fierce (but friendly) rivalry during our Olympic-themed games night. The trip concluded with a celebratory disco, marking the end of a week filled with laughter, resilience, and newfound confidence – it was truly a trip of a lifetime.
