Team-Building
At the start of Year 8, pupils are tasked with working together to solve a variety of puzzles and challenges.
Teaching groups become increasingly mixed in the second year of Senior School, so the pastoral team organises sessions to enable our girls to connect with their new classmates in a different setting. Together, the girls had great fun attempting a range of challenges: traversing Waterlow Hall using stepping stones; stacking wooden blocks using a crane; and navigating a giant marble maze. Laughter, logic, communication, patience and a healthy dose of competitive spirit were on display as the girls took on each activity. These collaborative problem-solving sessions are just some of the many bonding activities and pastoral structures in place to encourage pupils to foster new friendships and a sense of camaraderie.
