Creative Writing Prize

Congratulations to Madeleine in Year 9, winner of this year’s GDST Creative Writing Prize.

The theme of this year’s competition was “fearlessness”,  with entries judged by Harriet Goodwin, Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) alumna and author of The Boy Who Fell Down Exit 43, which was shortlisted for the Blue Peter of the Year Award. Madeleine’s nightmarish story was awarded first prize in the Year 7 – 9 category, winning a £100 voucher. Commenting on Madeleine’s writing, Harriet said: “Beautiful storytelling. Exciting, too.”
