Biology Awards

Our Biologists have once again excelled in national competitions designed to stretch students’ thinking.

Each year, over 60,000 students take part in UK Biology Competitions, developed in collaboration with the Royal Society of Biology and University of Warwick. The competitions aim to test pupils’ knowledge beyond the curriculum and stimulate their curiosity for the natural world.

Congratulations to all our Year 10 GCSE Biologists who participated in this year’s challenge. Over a dozen students were commended or highly commended, 11 pupils were awarded Bronze and 9 Silver. A further 9 students – Evie, Iris, Leila, Marina, Mia, Sadie, Sara, Stella and Rose – were awarded Gold. Lower Sixth A Level Biologists took part in the more challenging Olympiad; a dozen students were highly commended or awarded a medal, with our top scorers – Clara, Gabriella, Keira, Rosa and Stella – picking up Silver awards. Well done to everyone who participated.
