Sports Day

Colourfully clad athletes arrived at Willesden athletics track, ready to compete for the hotly contest Edbrooke Cup.

Following a busy year of House activities – from spelling bees and language quizzes to lip syncing and dodgeball – our four Houses rallied for a sunny end of term finale. The morning started with long distances, sprint heats, hurdles and field events before the afternoon’s track finals and relays. The day was filled with exuberant House chants and cheering for House mates as well as impressive individual performances, despite the rising temperatures, culminating in yet another memorable staff relay. Our social action team capitalised on the weather, selling cold drinks and ice lollies, raising over £1000 for our school charities. Our thanks to the parents who came to support and to the whole community for their efforts and enthusiasm, with a special mention to our seven pupils who set nine new school records; and congratulations to Potter who, once again, lifted the trophy.
