Sports Triumphs

Our cricketers, footballers, gymnasts and netballers have been adding to the medal and trophy collection this term.

Our U16 netball team, already unbeaten Middlesex Champions, headed to Loughborough University as one of the final four in the Sisters n Sport national shield. Following a pulse raising semi-final, won on a golden goal, they went on to comfortably beat Bury Grammar School in the final – an amazing achievement.

Our U13 footballers have also picked up some silverware this term; after topping their group on goal difference at the GDST rally at Bromley High, they went on to win the final 1-0 to be crowned GDST champions. Meanwhile, our Senior team also ended the season on a high – following a comfortable win against Westminster last week, they were two goals down in their final game against UCS, before securing a 4-3 victory in the final minutes.

Our gymnasts have shown similar tenacity this term, showcasing outstanding technical skill, control and artistry on vault and floor at the annual GDST Gymnastics Competition. Whilst our U11 and U14 squads place 6th and 7th respectively, our Senior team – featuring our trio of Upper Sixth Gym Captains in their final competition – delivered fantastic performances to finish an outstanding 2nd overall. Meanwhile nearly 200 dancers performed in our Annual Dance Show: a fantastic display of tap, street, contemporary, jazz and more – read more.

Ahead of the summer term, our cricketers have been warming up with some fantastic innings at Lord’s, where both our U14 and U15 teams were recently crowned indoor champions. All our athletes have much to look forward to next term.
