Top Tatler School

South Hampstead has been listed as one of the UK’s top schools in the 2026 Tatler Schools Guide.

The October issue of Tatler magazine features an annual guide to the “top prep and public schools” in the UK. Schools gain admission to the publication based on school visits as well as candid feedback from pupils, parents and a countrywide team of researchers.

South Hampstead’s latest review features our colourful penguin sculptures which are dotted around the Senior School, described as feminist icons. “These birds are one of the few species in which the males do their fair share of infant-rearing. This message of female equality is promulgated by head Anna Paul [who has] made a genuine effort to get to know and connect with all the girls, even running her own feminist book club.” The write up also highlights the school’s ubiquitous success – both inside and outside the classroom – alongside a spirit of “innovation and intellectual curiosity” and resounding “sense of fun.”
