Year 7 Bonding Trip
Our new cohort of Senior School pupils enjoyed an action-packed, three-day residential together.
Our recent Year 7 joiners spent a fun few days outdoors in the Shropshire countryside where they tackled team-building and problem-solving challenges with their House mates. Dinuli and Raina report back on their highlights:
“We had a great time doing all the activities. When we went abseiling, it was exciting to step over the edge; we all cheered everyone down once they came to the bottom. Canoeing was loads of fun too, as we learned to paddle a boat together and enjoyed being out on the water. Rock climbing was one of the best parts of the trip because we climbed up to the top without climbing grips – it was a bit tricky and fun at the same time. Overall, we all had a really enjoyable experience and bonded with everyone.”
“We were put into groups at random, which was a great way to meet new people outside of our friendship groups. I made a lot of new friends and enjoyed spending time with them. The activities were also really fun, especially as we had a few competitions such as who could complete the abseiling and vertical challenge the fastest! Overall, my favourite activities were kayaking and canoeing – initially I was quite anxious, but as soon as I got into the water, my fears evaporated and I had a lot of fun. This residential will definitely be one of the highlights of my year; it was a very memorable trip!”
