Woodland Welcome

Each September, students embark on an outdoor team-building weekend as they begin their Sixth Form journey together.

At the end of a busy first full week of the academic year, the Sixth Form team organised a fun, overnight stay in the countryside as part of the Lower Sixth induction programme. Our new students, who join us from an array of schools, got to know girls who have moved up from our Senior School by taking part in outdoor games and challenges together. Undeterred by some heavy rain showers and even hail, our Class of 2027 enjoyed a BBQ cooked by their tutors and Sixth Form team and toasted marshmallows round the campfire. Our new cohort of Sixth Form students also performed scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream before camping out under the stars – an opportunity to reflect on the next stage of their educational journeys, forge new friendships and create lasting memories.
