Former pupil and breakout star Ella Bright has lent her voice to a new video for South Hampstead.

The Class of 2025 alumna, who achieved top grades in her A Levels last summer, recently featured on the front cover of Tatler with the headline, A Star is Born. Taking the world by storm since landing a lead role in Amazon Prime’s hit series, Off Campus, Ella has since featured on numerous TV chat shows in the US, made her fashion week debut in Paris, performed a live duet with Suki Waterhouse in Canada, accumulated over 103 million streams on Spotify since learning guitar and piano virtually from scratch, and garnered over 6 million followers on Instagram.

Ella joined South Hampstead Junior School at the age of 7. Whilst in Year 8, she played the lead in the BBC adaptation of Malory Towers, earning her nominations for children’s BAFTA and Emmy awards. At the time, she commented on the similarities between Enid Blyton’s fictional boarding school and South Hampstead: “They both have lots of strong teachers that inspire girls to be self-assured, kind and achieve anything they put their mind to.”

Ella went on to play a young Kate Middleton in The Crown, successfully juggling her acting commitments with her studies. Since leaving South Hampstead Sixth Form, where she was a Drama Scholar, her career has sky-rocketed. Despite her busy schedule, Ella generously offered to do the voiceover for a new South Hampstead video, recording the script from Bryan Adam’s studio in Canada – watch the video here.

Commenting on her time at school, Ella said: “I have the best memories of South Hampstead. It gave me confidence and independence, and encouraged me to follow my own path.”
