South Hampstead Wrapped
Monday 7th July 2025

The second edition of South Hampstead Wrapped, an event that brings our entire school community together to celebrate all of our achievements and most exciting moments from across the year.

150th Campaign Launch
Wednesday 5th November

A Champagne Reception, the launch of our 150th Anniversary Campaign and a chance to meet our special guests, Jim Carter OBE, Dame Imelda Staunton and their daughter Bessie Carter. Famous for their roles on stage and screen, including Downton Abbey, The Crown and Bridgerton, this acting dynasty will join us to help launch and raise funds for our 150th Anniversary Campaign. The reception will be followed by by the Speaker Series ‘In conversation’ event.

Join us for a conversation with acting dynasty and local Hampstead residents Jim Carter OBE, Dame Imelda Staunton, and Bessie Carter.

This event is open to everyone in the South Hampstead Community.

Opening Doors Dinner
Saturday 15th November 2025

Book your seat at our biennial fundraiser for bursaries. An evening which brings together the whole community for an evening of celebration and mission as we seek to create opportunity for bright young women.

 

Alumnae Reunion Tea
Sunday 8th March 2026

All alumnae are invited to our annual reunion. An event for senior Alumnae from the Classes of 1961 and before. Join us in the Burgess Room for conversation with friends, archive presentations and a delicious seated lunch.

Staff Wellbeing
Termly

A programme of activities for current staff: running club, meditation, netball, yoga, Pilates and more. Open to teaching and support staff at both the Junior and Senior Schools.

 

South Hampstead Chorale
Monday Evenings

The South Hampstead Chorale, conducted by Director of Music Dr Collisson, performs at concerts throughout the year. Open to parents and alumnae. Please contact e.jones@shhs.gdst.net for further details.

1876 Society Meeting
Thursday 15th May, 2025

Members of our 1876 Society are warmly invited to the annual meeting. This year, we are delighted to welcome the award winning actor Jim Carter, famous for roles on stage and screen including Downton Abbey and Shakespeare in Love and President of the Hampstead Cricket Club. Jim will be ‘in conversation’ sharing his love of nature, cricket and stories from a life in the spotlight.

This event is for 1876 Society members and their guests only.

Alumnae Networking
Thursday 26th February

Join us for our networking session at the GDST offices in Victoria with keynote speaker and alumna Jane Quinn, West End actor, singer, and founder of The Speakers’ Toolkit. This interactive session will offer practical tips to enhance your public speaking skills in a fun, relaxed setting.

Raising Resilient Girls
Thursday 23rd January

Join us for this Speaker Series panel to hear experts share their views on a range of salient issues including adolescent friendships, neurodiversity, eating issues, academic and emotional resilience, mental health, and parenting more broadly.

The evening will be chaired by the alumna journalist and broadcaster Jenny Kleeman, who will be joined by fellow alumna Zeinab Chaudhary, Dr Saadia Arshad, Tanya Manchanda and Dr Sophie Nesbitt.

This event is open to all of our current parents.
