Bursary Board Reception

At the most recent Bursary Board Reception, we welcomed parents to find out more about the wide-reaching impact of our bursary programme.

The event was also an opportunity to launch an exciting pilot video project: guests were introduced to a current bursary pupil, Frances (Class of 2029), and one of our bursary alumnae, Datshiane (Class of 2005). Through the power of AI, we interviewed them about their experience and the impact of their education – find out more here.

One of the objectives of these events is to share our bursary ambitions, answer questions about the scheme, and encourage our whole community to get involved with our Opening Doors Bursary Campaign in whatever way they are able to.  Guests were invited to join our 1876 Society, named after our founding year, which recognises all those who commit to a regular annual donation worth £1,876 a year or more. With over 100 members already, the 1876 Society has facilitated a step change in the opportunities we can give to bright young women. The next 1876 Society meeting is on Thursday 18th May; find out more about how you can become a member here.

You can join our Opening Doors Bursary Campaign by making a donation here; if you would like to find out more about the programme, please contact us at development@shhs.gdst.net.
