Chamber Choir on Tour

The Junior School Chamber Choir travelled to the Netherlands for their first tour abroad this term.

With pandemic restrictions lifted, it was a joy to take our Year 5 and 6 Chamber Choir singers on their inaugural international tour.  Over 30 pupils enjoyed an action-packed, four-day adventure, performing in Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Vleuten. Amid a busy schedule of performances, the group also visited the Anne Frank Museum, enjoyed a canal cruise, toured Duurstede’s medieval castle park and sampled plenty of pancakes and local cheese.

The girls were also invited to perform alongside The New Choral Singers, an established adult choir, at their spring concert, where the girls were met by rapturous applause and a standing ovation – an extraordinary achievement for the girls and a milestone for South Hampstead. Dank je wel Holland!
