Children’s Book Project

As part of Eco Week, our Junior School PTA organised a book drive, mobilising pupils to donate their outgrown books to pass onto children in need.

The PTA arranged the collection of hundreds of preloved books, helping to make a real difference to families who need them most. The Children’s Book Project report that a quarter of disadvantaged children have fewer than ten books at home; the organisation accept donated books before cleaning, sorting and redistributing to targeted nurseries and primary schools to pass on within their local community. Many thanks to all our parents and pupils who have given so generously this week – 68 heavy bags filled with books have now been passed onto the charity.
