County Netball

Having seen off some strong rivals in the qualifying rounds, our U15 and U16 netball squads had a great day at the Middlesex County Schools Finals last weekend.

The finals see the top six schools in the county competing for the title. The tournament took place at Lady Eleanor Holles School last weekend, where both teams played with great resilience and teamwork, achieving some great results.

The U15 team started well with a fantastic performance against Waldegrave, with superb defensive pressure creating a number of turnovers helping us secure a strong 12 – 8 win. The team played with grit and determination but were unable to beat the tough opponents of St Paul’s, Godolphin & Latymer and Notting Hill & Ealing. The girls have such a wonderful team spirit and are so encouraging of each other; they came out fighting for their final game, going goal for goal with Lady Eleanor Holles, but unfortunately just missed out on a final win by one goal.

The U16 team had some close games early in the day, losing by only one goal to Highgate and North London Collegiate. They learnt from each game to go on to win games against St Helen’s and Lady Eleanor Holles, finishing 4th in the county – a brilliant end to a strong season. Well done girls.
