In Newnham’s Engineering Essay Prize, Eleanor was commended for her piece exploring the use of drones to deliver medicine to people in Rwanda.

Two more students, Layal and Ahaana, were shortlisted in a global essay competition run by New College of the Humanities (NCH); Layal’s essay won third prize, exploring whether literature is always a force for good, while Ahaana discussed if democracy experiencing a setback worldwide.
