Future Leaders

Sixth Formers are embarking on a Leadership & Enterprise Diploma developed by the GDST in partnership with the London School of Economics.

The Girls’ Day School Trust Leadership & Enterprise Advanced Diploma (LEAD) launched in partnership with the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2021: an innovative enterprise programme, designed to encourage young women to develop the transferable skills necessary to be future leaders and entrepreneurs.

This year, fifteen South Hampstead students in the Lower Sixth have signed up and recently attended a full day bootcamp at LSE, with other pupils from across the GDST.  Students met their LSE alumnae mentors, enjoyed workshops and networking opportunities, and heard from Vanessa Sanyauke, the Founder and CEO of award-winning global organisation Girls Talk London.

The programme has been designed to help embed critical skills such as resilience, business leadership and entrepreneurial thinking early, to empower and create future leaders to think in innovative ways to shape a better tomorrow.
