House Dance

Each year, girls from Year 7 to 10 enter the inter House Dance Competition with great enthusiasm.

On the last Monday of term, groups of girls from across the school delivered their choreographed sequences, performed with typical South Hamsptead verve and aplomb. This year, the prize went to Potter. Before the judges announced the final scores, the girls were treated to a special dancing interlude from staff. The afternoon ended with the whole school dancing enthusiastically in the sports hall.

The contest, and staff dancing, was organised by Head of Dance, Miss Scahill – who delivered an impressive moonwalk herself as the votes were counted – who was twice national dance champion in her native Australia and has been dancing since the age of six.
