House Lip Synch

There is a wealth of inter-House activities each year, perhaps none more eagerly anticipated than the inimitable lip synching contest.

The annual competition engenders impressive team spirit, as girls across the years choreograph and mime to their favourite tunes. This year, the professional surroundings of Waterlow Hall played host to enthusiastic live-streamed performances, with pupils tuning in from their classrooms. Well done to everyone who took part and supported their House with such energy.

A special mention goes to Year 11 Walker, who delivered a memorable rendition of the school song: a spectacular mashup of the Londonderry Air, remixed by the girls themselves and introduced by ‘Mrs Bingham’.  Their performance elicited cheers throughout the building, and the real Mrs Bingham requested an encore.

Congratulations to Walker, on their overall win, and to the technical team – members of technical theatre club, who designed and programmed the lights, bringing Mehr Licht to the proceedings.
