Junior Mathematicians headed to Oxford this month, to attend the annual Girls’ Day School Trust Mathematics Conference.
A group of six Year 6 girls attended this year’s conference, held at the University of Oxford. After an inspiring morning of understanding how to interpret data in the modern world, the girls enjoyed a tour of the Mathematical Institute – exploring the building’s mathematical features – before completing an afternoon of tough team challenges and problem-solving. The girls had a lot of fun, learning about statistics, hearing from diverse speakers and working together with other GDST pupils.
