Junior Maths Challenge

Year 7 and 8 achieved brilliant results in a national maths challenge, with record numbers qualifying for the follow-on rounds.

The UK Mathematics Trust’s annual challenge aims to test students’ mathematical reasoning and problem-solving, encouraging them to think creatively. Nearly three quarters of our Year 7 and 8 Mathematicians were awarded certificates this year: 54 Bronze, 71 Silver, and 39 Gold – the latter are awarded to just the top-scoring 10% of all participants. A special mention to our top 30 Gold scorers, including 17 in Year 7, who have qualified for the follow-on Kangaroo round this year – an impressive achievement.
