Year 7 Computer Scientists have excelled in the recent Junior UK Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge 2020.
The annual competition, organised by the University of Oxford, challenges pupils to use their logical thinking skills to solve a range of fun and engaging Computer Science problems. This year’s contest had over 68,000 entrants in this age category alone.
Well done to the girls for their outstanding efforts and results: over 46% of the girls received the Gold Award (awarded for scores in the top 10% nationally) and will be invited to take part in the TCS Oxford Computing Challenge in February 2021. Over 72% achieved a score that places them in the top 25% nationally.
Congratulations go to Sylvie and Charlotte for achieving the joint highest score in Year 7, with 194 points out of a possible 200 – a fantastic achievement.
