Partnerships Award

We are delighted to be shortlisted for an award that recognises Outstanding Educational Partnerships.

Following last year’s success, when we were crowned Independent Girls’ School of the Year 2022/23, we have been shortlisted for another award: Independent School of the Year for Outstanding Educational Partnerships. We are proud to be nominated for an award that celebrates our outward-looking culture and dynamic partnerships programme that engages so many pupils, staff and the wider community.

At South Hampstead, pupils volunteer thousands of hours to support local initiatives each year; we offer every student the chance to be involved in at least one community social action initiative, as well as the opportunity to connect with children as far afield as Rwanda and Calcutta.  Other key initiatives include our Saturday Sparks booster programme, award-winning Debate Hub, outreach teaching across London, an eco-garden to promote outdoor learning for neighbouring primary school pupils, and a trailblazing partnership with a non-selective, co-ed academy to recruit a shared Chemistry Teacher.

The Independent Schools of the Year awards celebrate the very best in education and student experience in UK independent schools – a record number of nominations was received this year.
