Pineapple Studios

Members of our Tanzlicht Dance Squad enjoyed a day at Pineapple Studios alongside fellow dancers from across the Girls’ Day School Trust.

The annual day of dance enables the girls to gain insight into the dance industry and provides the opportunity to be taught by some of the top choreographers in the UK at one of its most famous dance venues. Charlotte in Year 10 reports back on their day:

Eight dancers were invited to Pineapple Studios to participate in a variety of stylistic workshops taught by professional dancers and choreographers, for the annual GDST ‘Day of Dance’. The teachers had a wide range of experience from choreographing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to working with Beyoncé and performing in the West End production of Chicago. We participated in two workshops, culminating in a showcase where each school performed their own dance piece. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we were able to learn a lot from the professional artists, both about the dance industry and the dance routines themselves.
