Rock & Pop Concert

Students staged our first Rock & Pop Concert… live from Waterlow Hall.

Music Scholar and Sixth Form Music Captain, Maisie, directed the evening, while Tech Scholar, Thea, mobilised the lighting rigs to transform Waterlow Hall into a buzzing gig venue.  MC Mirra compèred the evening with great verve, introducing a fantastic line-up of budding rockstars.

Highlights included Katie in Year 10 performing her own song with the Flying Penguins (Sylvie and Audrey); the Lower Sixth’s Cosmic Sound Machine (Phoebe, Tamara, Isadora and Amelia); and Sixth Former, Livvy, singing her original track, Naïve, available to stream on Spotify. Congratulations to all our musicians who took the stage and performed with such panache.

Thanks to our Head of Contemporary Music, Mr Beecroft, and Waterlow Hall Manager, Mr Stevens, for overseeing what we hope will be the first of many rock concerts raising the roof at South Hampstead.
