Saturday Sparks

Dozens of local pupils have joined this term’s Saturday Sparks programme.

Our Saturday morning sessions are open to Year 5 pupils from neighbouring schools – a spring term programme we have been running for several years. This year, our staff and Sixth Form student volunteers welcomed over 30 pupils from 9 different state primaries. Over the course of five weeks, pupils enjoyed the opportunity to hone their skills in creative writing, public speaking and Maths. For the first time, they also spent time in our Design & Technology studios, learning about architecture and engineering, and producing creative concepts for designing a new school.

Parents have praised the programme, commenting: “My daughters really enjoyed the English session last week… we are absolutely delighted she’s had this opportunity.” The weekend sessions are some of the many outreach activities we lead, which include teaching Classics, Debating, Modern Languages, Music and Sciences at schools across London and beyond.
