Sport Highlights

Autumn term sport is off to a fantastic start, with our girls enjoying some brilliant results across our key sports.

Our football teams are having their most successful start to cup competitions ever, with every team winning their opening-round fixture! Highlights include a brilliant 13–0 victory for the U13s against Alleyn’s, an exciting win on penalties for the U15s against Kew House, and an impressive 6–1 win for the U18s against Godolphin and Latymer. Our U16s also performed brilliantly at the GDST Rally, progressing all the way to the quarter finals.

Netball has been equally impressive, with strong performances in both cup competitions and friendly fixtures. The U13As secured a fantastic 24–9 win against NLCS, while the U14As defeated Ibstock Place 24–17. Both Senior teams also enjoyed victories against UCS, with the 1st team recording a convincing 55–23 win and the Senior 2nds producing a thrilling finish, scoring the golden goal in extra time to clinch a 17–16 victory. Alongside these competitive successes, all of Year 7 have taken part in a block fixture against Queen’s College, with every pupil playing either netball or football. So far this term, our girls have played in over 40 football and netball fixtures, two cross country races, four ski races, and the gymnasts are preparing for their annual showcase which takes place after half term.

Our Sports Scholars have continued to excel, with a Year 11 footballer selected for Tottenham Hotspur’s U19 Academy and a Year 11 cricketer representing England’s indoor softball cricket team in South Africa. The opening of our new gym and wellbeing studio, funded through our 150th anniversary campaign, is also providing exciting opportunities for pupils to develop their strength and conditioning on site; pupils have thoroughly enjoyed their induction sessions and have been so excited to see the transformed space.
