After periods of lockdown and Guided Home Learning, our sporting ethos of inclusive excellence is back with a vengeance.
During National School Sports Week, we held our own annual Sports For All Week – a fantastic opportunity for all pupils to have fun trying out different sports and activities, from footgolf and bounce workouts, to kin-ball and ultimate frisbee.
It has been a joy to resume competitive fixtures since half term, with matches sorely missed over the past year. Our Year 7 to 10 tennis players all played against Francis Holland, with lots of individual triumphs, plus team wins for Year 7 and 9. In cricket, Year 7 played fixtures against both Channing and Francis Holland School, with over 40 pupils playing in competitive fixtures; we won all four games convincingly, with some brilliant batting and bowling skills on display from all pupils! Meanwhile, our school Netball Captain, Flo, has been selected for the next round of netball trials for the GDST Select Team in September. Congratulations to all our pupils for getting back in action.
