Teach the Teachers

Design & Technology students embarked on the challenge of teaching their teachers in their lunch break last week.

At lunch time DT Club, the studios were buzzing with activity as pupils took on the role of teachers.  Staff from a range of departments – from Art to Classics, Drama to Science – tried their hand at designing and making products over lunch, guided and instructed by the girls. Creative results included a solar-system-shaped necklace, practical pen pots and key hooks, and a Poseidon-inspired pendant.  Mrs Bingham’s dog, Max, was the lucky recipient of a new name tag.

The design initiative follows in the wake of our well-established Grade 1 music challenge, whereby some of our talented pupil musicians teach their other subject teachers to learn a musical instrument from scratch, testament to the sense of community here.
