Transition Project

Despite the challenging preceding months, our new Year 7s have made the transition to Senior School life with great enthusiasm and maturity.

To get to know their classmates, girls embarked on a Transition Project to ensure they feel ‘South Hampstead ready’. As a whole form bubble, the girls were briefed to create a theme park, learning a lot about teamwork, and each other, along the way. This week, they presented their final work: detailed costing analyses, scientific rollercoaster designs, and creative promotional ideas.

Special mentions go to 7T for their winning logo and TV commercial; 7D, who produced the best map; 7G, who designed the best rollercoaster; and 7S, who meticulously planned the costs of the park. Congratulations to all our Year 7 pupils for embracing the challenge with such energy.

The girls have also enjoyed getting to know new friends at this week’s cookie mornings and look forward to a day of problem-solving together after half term.
