Writer in Residence

This week we welcome back our writer-in-residence, Alan Murrin, to deliver creative writing workshops, individual tutorials and masterclasses.

Throughout his stay, Alan will run sessions for pupils in Years 7 – 9 in the library and deliver tutorials to our Lower Sixth English students. Girls can also sign up for sessions during their lunchbreak.  Alan Murrin is a fiction writer from Donegal. He is a graduate of the prose fiction Masters at the University of East Anglia, who has been shortlisted for the Irish Arts and Writers festival short story contest and the New Irish Writing in Germany prize. He writes regularly for The Times Literary Supplement, The Spectator, and The Irish Times and his work has appeared in the Cardiff Review.
