‘I am an artist’

Our Year 9 artists have been exploring what it means to be an artist, experimenting with a range of media to produce some powerful work.
Pupils have been developing the theme ‘I am an Artist’ this term, examining key art concepts such as the readymade, text and the use of mass production and the media. Students have been investigating a range of media including textiles, photography, digital media and ceramics, inspired by artists such as John Baldessari, Ai Wei Wei and Jenny Holzer. The gallery above showcases just some of their work.
