Biology Medals

Fifteen Sixth Formers took part in this year’s Biology Olympiad, with a trio awarded silver medals.

Biology A Level students took part in this year’s British Biology Olympiad, a challenging competition that aims to test knowledge and thinking beyond the curriculum as well as the ability to work under time pressure.  Over 13,000 students from 800 schools worldwide took part in this year’s national competition.  One student, who is not even taking Biology A Level, took part and was awarded a certificate.

Well done to all our students, with a special mention to our Bronze medallists, Aisling, Jacqui and Zahra in the Lower Sixth , and Silver medallists, Aoi and Roshan in the Upper Sixth, and Jenny in the Lower Sixth. Those awarded bronze medals represent the top 15% of all entrants, while silver medallists represent the top 10%.
