Class of 2026
During their final week before study leave, the Class of 2026 celebrated their time together.
In their last week in school before A Levels, students embraced a series of daily fancy dress themes with incredible creativity. Channelling their childhood dreams, the Oakwood common room was filled with spies, popstar princesses, and a few familiar-looking prime ministers. Dressing as their future degrees, our Upper Sixth students showcased the diverse future pathways they have planned, from ‘finance bro’ Economists to Classics-inspired togas, Theology-themed monk habits and more.
The final day saw the resurgence of South Hampstead’s iconic yellow shirts as they attended a heartwarming leavers’ assembly with Ms Brass, Mrs Paul, Mr White, and Mrs Cooper, ending with a emotional rendition of the school song. The celebrations continued at lunchtime with a screening of the cohort’s ‘retrospective’ video, packed with skits about school life and featuring an array of staff cameos. The day concluded with a celebratory lunch, yearbook and shirt signing, and fond farewells to their teachers.
We look forward to giving the Class of 2026 a proper send-off at their valedictory ceremony and leavers’ ball next month and wish them the very best of luck in their A Levels and beyond.
