New look for Friends of South Hampstead

Friends of South Hampstead (FOSH) was founded by parents in May 1972, with the purpose of bringing together families in the school community.

For over 45 years, FOSH have provided a significant contribution to life at the Senior School. As well as taking responsibility for a range of initiatives that help to create a warm and vibrant community, the FOSH committee also organise numerous events that provide financial support to projects which cannot be funded through the school’s day-to-day budgets.

Earlier this term they launched a competition for pupils to design a logo for FOSH, to represent their history and mission.  The competition was judged by the award-winning designer and South Hampstead alumna, Kate Moross. Kate’s work also adorns the front cover of our pupil diaries this year. Watch the video below to hear Kate’s comments on the competition – and congratulations to Alice in the Sixth Form on her winning design.

After attending both South Hampstead Junior and Senior School, and gaining a first class BA from Camberwell School of Art, Kate is now one of the most sought-after collaborators in the design world, creating fun, colourful and iconic work for brands such as Converse, Cadbury, Nike, Uniqlo and Vogue as well as art-directing musicians such as Jessie Ware and Sam Smith.
