Royal Parks Walk

The school community embarked on a fun-filled fundraising walk – our first whole school adventure since before the pandemic.

Our very youngest Junior School pupils through to Sixth Formers and staff spent the final morning of the spring term strolling through London’s Royal Parks – a fundraiser for The Winch, a local charity we have been supporting for many years. The Winch works with disadvantaged families in North Camden, providing opportunities and support via youth led-projects, community groups and careers guidance – read more on Mrs Bingham’s blog.

Hundreds of intrepid walkers snaked through Hyde Park, Green Park, and St James’ Park, undaunted by the rain, admiring the cherry blossom, daffodils, ducklings and horses. The 10km route (abridged for our littlest legs) took pupils past stunning architecture and scenery, including royal palaces, monuments, and green open spaces. Even the initially reluctant amblers enjoyed the tremendous sense of achievement and camaraderie as they triumphantly completed their loop at Wellington Arch.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we have raised nearly £10,000 for The Winch.
