Whole School Walk

Staff and pupils from every year group walked the Thames Path together, raising thousands of pounds for our school charities.

Teachers, support staff and pupils – from Reception to the Sixth Form – ended the spring term with an epic walk from Canary Wharf to the Houses of Parliament against a sunny backdrop of the city’s skyline. Everyone was in high spirits, greeting staff marshals enthusiastically along the way, over the Thames, past the Globe, and along Southbank. Collectively, the community covered well over 8000kms, the equivalent of walking from Hampstead to Honduras.

The whole school community event was an uplifting opportunity for everyone to get together: an adventurous day outdoors that instigated enthusiastic chatter amongst classmates, a newfound appreciation of the city’s sights, and a sense of triumph at achieving the distance.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised nearly £13,000 for our school charities: Spear Resurgo, Maggie’s Cancer Care, the Royal Free Charity, The Winch, and the Umubano Academy in Rwanda.
