National Sport with GDST

Being part of the Girls’ Day School Trust provides the opportunity for girls to regularly compete in a range of sports against our sister schools from across the UK.

Last week it was the turn of our gymnasts, cross-country runners and senior netballers who attended the GDST Rally at Bromley High School. Our Junior School runners ran with great determination – strong individual performances secured the team an impressive third place overall. Well done to Eloise, Sierra, Bethany, Elizabeth, Isabella, Hana and Tamara.  The Junior gymnasts also had a good day, performing accomplished floor routines and elements on the vault, finishing 8th out of 23 schools nationally. Congratulations to Poppy, Leonie and Alice.

Senior School pupils also had performed well. In the cross-country, there were strong individual runs from Jessie in Year 8 and Milly in Year 11 and the Year 8 & 9 team finished in 6th place.  Well done too to our gymnasts who came in 10th place and our U19 senior netballers, who placed fifth overall, their strongest performance to date at a GDST Rally. Thanks to Bromley for hosting another great event – a wonderful platform for our pupils to compete at a national level against fellow GDST girls.
