Philanthropy Review

As we prepare for our Opening Doors bursary fundraising dinner next month, we reflect on the impact of your support.

Our Philanthropy Review for 2022/23, mailed to our parents over half term, focuses on the transformative impact on the lives of current and former students who have received bursary awards. The review features interviews with our current pupils from Ukraine and a spotlight on our most senior bursary contributor,  Ann Kirk, who was welcomed to South Hampstead when she arrived in the UK as a refugee from Berlin in 1939. Read the full report online here.  In the words of one of last year’s bursary pupil leavers, now studying architecture at university:

Your support has a visible and tangible impact… It makes everyone value the opportunities and encourages us all to do more. Thank you.

Our aim is for at least 1 in 10 of our Senior School pupils to receive means-tested financial support – a goal we have successfully achieved for each Year 7 cohort since 2021. Evidence suggests that increasing diversity and inclusion in this way has a positive effect not just on those receiving the awards, but also on their families, contemporaries and wider school community.  To join our Opening Doors dinner, bid on our fundraising auction, or support our Opening Doors Bursary Campaign, please visit our event website or Support Us pages.
