Music Scholar Success

Congratulations to one of our talented Music Scholars who has won a New York-based Jazz House Kids award.

Keira, now in Year 10, is an accomplished jazz singer and plays the flute and saxophone; she was recently awarded a Music Scholarship at South Hampstead and is one of 34 talented Music Scholars at the Senior School. Over the summer, she joined 120 musicians from across the world to take part in an online programme with Jazz House Kids in New Jersey, picking up their student award.  One of the pieces from her time on the programme, featuring her vocals, is available to listen to here.  Keira is also a member of the London jazz school, Tomorrow’s Warriors, where she plays flute with her band, recently featured as part of the Music For Youth National Festival.

Our Music Scholarships are prestigious awards available to those applying at Year 7 (11+) and the Sixth Form (16+); they provide talented young musicians with a broad range of outstanding musical opportunities which support and develop their musical progression. Find out more about how to apply
